Fourteen Spanish universities, three of them from Comunidad Valenciana are situated in very good positions in the prestigious UNI Green Metric 2013 ranking of sustainable campus. Indonesia University assesses the environment respect in more than three hundred worldwide universities. They use 41 indicators group into six key matters (transport, wastes, infrastructure, energy, education and water). This ranking started in 2010 with the purpose of getting information about environmental situation in the international universities. The 10 top universities in this ranking were: Nottingham University (UK), Cork University College (UK), Irish National University, Northeastern University (EEUU), Connecticut University (EEUU), Universite de Sherbooke (Canadá), Plymouth University (UK), Chapel Hill,
North Caroline University,(EEUU), Davis California University (EEUU) y North Caroline University Agricultural & Technical State University (EEUU). The
top domestic Universities had the following ranges: Alcala University was in 12 position; Universidad Autónoma de Madrid was in 24 position; Universidad Politécnica de Valencia was in 45 position; Barcelona University was in 90 position; Castellón University was in 95 position and Santiago de Compostela was in the 96 position.
