El grupo de investigación Tecnología y Diseño de Productos Multicomponentes de la Universidad de Sevilla ha obtenido materiales bioplásticos a partir de los residuos procedentes de las fábricas transformadoras del cangrejo rojo del Guadalquivir. Los expertos han utilizado una mezcla basada en la proteína derivada de este crustáceo para desarrollar materiales biodegradables, como una alternativa a los plásticos convencionales. Además de conseguir un producto más sostenible, reutilizan un residuo procedente de la industria cangrejera. Según explica el investigador de la Universidad de Sevilla responsable del proyecto, Antonio Guerrero, las fábricas procesadoras de crustáceos generan un importante volumen de efluentes líquidos y residuos sólidos que no suelen reciclarse. Commission checked out the General Regulations of Exemptions by Categories. They allow grants inside the community market.
