It´s about a European project with the leadership of the Tile Technology Institute and supported by ASCER and other local tile producers. They are trying to produce tiles generating zero waste. Lifeceram-residuos cero is the Life Project that is being financed by European Commission. The main objective is to get a tile production process that doesn ´t generate any waste in any stage of the manufacture. The project also try to develop new products that contain recycling row materials and with technical characteristics that allow to use the product in public places Beginning actions include a state of art research which analyzes: waste typology generated in tile sector, waste treatment that companies bring to remains, and how many recycled products incorporates and how many go to garbage dump.
