Arias Cañate, minister of Agriculture, Food and Environment declares that the European program, Horizon 2020, determines recycling 50% of domestic waste, it means that if Spain wants to get it, It should increase 30% recycling of this type of waste.
The minister says that they ´re checking the National Integrated Waste Plan 2008-2015. It is necessary to know the opinion of every single agent and all the sector that take place in the process, in order to do the final definitive plan.
This plan is designed for getting the European objectives in time. Spain should recycle 50 % of domestic waste and should reduce the production of waste in 10% .
The National Program is a big opportunity to find a job. They appreciate that the implementation of the guideline will create 400.000 jobs in the waste management, 55.000 of them will be in Spain. Recycling plants, that will be in place of garbage dump, will create 130.000 jobs, 20.000 of them, will be in our country.
European Union frame pretends building a developing model more sustainable. It is necessary to implement improvements in the objectives that were planned at the beginning.They work deeper the prevention topic because consumers can take great advantages: shaving row materials in the production, and new ecological designs, etc.
