La ISO 50001 resulta una herramienta en la gestión energética dentro de empresas

In waste treatment plants, energetic management is a fundamental question, control costs depends on what they do.

Last years, treatment plants have observed a reducing amount of waste, so companies had to adapt the energetic consume to its actual dimension.
The European Energetic Efficiency Leadership determines that companies should control the energetic consume in a methodic form and systematically in the management.

In this way, 50001 ISO is a management tool. For waste companies this certification is an attractive way to optimize energetic consume and therefore it is a way to be more competitive.
This standard settles the pattern for energetic control and management that the company spends when waste is treated. They save money and energy largely. The goal is getting the management with the lowest cost.
The companies that already have similar norms like ISO 14001 or ISO 9001, It is everything ongoing. Preparations are less dedicated because it follows the same circle of continuous improvement. They use less time and less costs for implementation and certification.
Different from other rules, this one analyses the energy that facilities use. They observe the use and consume of energy because they want to find out which points are with high consume. It is fundamental to collect information in a right form, that´s the best way to get know what factors are influencing consume. First results of the analysis allow us to make beginning improvements and after that, you are going to be able to build a plan.
Methodology sets energetic achievement lines, we are going to follow its results. Control is necessary support on good measure machines.
Implementation has nothing to differ from the rest of ISO norms. We need to have: energetic policy, dominate legal requirements, personnel training for the performance of the plan, a control system of the plant, etc.
Certification is recognized by independent companies that ratify the management system. All process should be documented in an accurate way. And they should audit regularly.
