Séptima edición de la conferencia europea de Bioplásticos

Germany celebrated in Berlin the 7th European Bioplastic Conference, last December. In a multicultural environment, there were 350 participants, 86 % were European, 8% American, and 6 % Asian.
This conference put on the big business opportunity that is bioplastic sector.
Janez Potocnik, Environmental Commissioner, said that bioplastics that comes from row material and are integrate again into the biosphere as a nutrient, o they are recycled next to the conventional plastic, they result a sustainable material. With bioplastics we can reduce the fossil combustible and Europe could develop an economy with circular biologic base. In this area, there is much to develop. Although bioplastic is a sustainable material, with neutral impact on the food production and the biodiversity: the industry should transfer the information relate to products and processes in a transparent way into the audience.
European Bioplastic Association and the German Bioplastic and Biocomponents Institute update the number they work. They have a new estimation for 2017 of 6 millions of tones of production capacity.
