That’s because you bring them to life – simply by adding water. Unlike ordinary batteries that start to lose power the moment they are made, Aquacell batteries will wait until you are ready to use them.
An Aquacell battery is a clean, lightweight alternative to normal alkaline batteries. It’s ideal for everyday use in devices with low to medium power consumption. It weighs only 12 grams and will start to provide eco-friendly power only after water is added to the battery.
If properly stored before use, Aquacell batteries have an infinite shelf-life with no expiry date.
PLANET-FRIENDLY RAW MATERIALS
Aquacell batteries are produced in a responsible way. We start with raw materials that come from sustainable sources. Unlike alkaline batteries that use a steel casing, we use recycled sustainable plastic. We’ve also removed most of the heavy metals and other dangerous materials such as Potassium Hydroxide commonly found in ordinary batteries.

All of which means we don’t have to go mining as much for raw materials and deplete earth’s valuable resources.

RESPONSIBLE MANUFACTURING
Our specialized production facility is designed to operate with the least amount of waste. It provides a clean and healthy working environment for the people in our plant. And because we don’t need water as part of our production process, we also eliminate water pollution at the source – something that presents a serious issue for regular battery manufacturers.

KEEPING IT GREEN – AGAIN AND AGAIN
Even after our Aquacell batteries reach consumers and have been used in a variety of devices given, their journey does not end there. At Aquacell, we actively promote the collection of used batteries by Peperzeel our collection partners.

Aquacell are also independently certified by Batrec to meet the high standard of recycling efficiency. Together, we work to ensure that the materials we use can find a way back to produce fresh batteries – over and over again.

In today’s world many products (or people) claim many things , this is especially true for the battery industry.

Therefore we have done an independent Life Cycle Analysis of our product , comparing the environmental impact of our AQUACELL battery versus a standard Alkaline battery.

The SGS © certified results show that our batteries compared on a functional equivalent have a significant lesser impact on the environment compared to the standard alkaline battery.
